The breakfast club has now finished, existing users may continue to log in and access the content for several months.

The business breakfast club meets every 6 weeks and includes guest speakers, networking opportunities and one-to-one support from business advisors.

The breakfast club is open to environmental companies, researchers and those looking for an innovative environmental solution.

Each session has a different theme with presentations by a guest speaker, a member of Lancaster University and a successful local business owner. Members will also have the support of advisors from BusinessLink, Envirolink, Lancaster City council and the Lancashire County Council among others.

Sessions run from 8am to 10.30am with a free breakfast on arrival. LEC facilities remain open after 10.30am for continued networking or one-to-one support sessions.

The club helps businesses to generate new contacts and set up collaborations with each other and Lancaster Environment Centre's research community. Members whose activities are complimentary to LEC's work also have access to the Environment Centre's business facilities. These include a board room for 12 with video conferencing facilities and the use of the training suites for events of up to 100 people with the support of LEC staff.

The Value of Networks

This first session of the LEC Business Breakfast Club will focus on the value of networks. The Breakfast Club is a 10 session programme lasting until the end of 2011 in the first instance, LEC are encouraging local businesses to join and meet on a 6-weekly basis in order to network, receive 1-2-1 support and listen to guest speakers for the day.
