Last chance for up to 5 companies to co-locate your business in LEC

LEC’s business co-location facility, now in its 4th year and at 80% occupancy, is currently home to 21 environmental companies. LEC offers a wide range of office sizes from shared office space with other companies to 10 person offices, with current residents in occupancy across the full range.

Technology development through industrial collaboration

Plant Impact PLC, a former resident company, is working with LEC to develop a novel technology which reduces crop losses caused by environmental stress. They are collaborating with LEC researchers Nigel Paul and Mike Roberts to examine their Alethea technology through a range of trials.

Providing access to high quality people to work in your business

Three of LEC’s resident companies have recently taken on our graduates, often following placement work. This increase in direct employment is highlighting both the value to students from integrated industrial placements as part of their university degree and to companies located here in LEC.

Industrial PhD scheme taking off in LEC

LEC is now supporting 17 funded PhD students, 12 more than in February last year, thanks to the cross research council initiative - CASE (Collaborative Awards in Science and Engineering).

Strategic Energy Solutions joins the LEC community

Strategic Energy Solutions (SES) is the newest member of the LEC company community. SES work with private and public sector organisations to help prepare them for the challenges that arise from emerging regulatory issues around energy security and efficiency.
