LEC China-UK Environment and Health Research
Lancaster Environment Centre has long established links with China. Professor Kevin Jones and his colleagues have been closely working with collaborators in 5 Institutes within Chinese Academy of Sciences, 6 universities and one provincial academy in China. Professor Jones’s work was highly recognised by Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and he was appointed as Distinguished Visiting Professor in CAS.
Lancaster University’s links with China have been strengthened with a formal collaboration with CAS, which has more than 100 Institutes across China. Professor Kevin Jones, who helped set up the link with CAS, said: “We are very pleased to be working closely with CAS on global problems and topical environmental issues ranging from sustainable agriculture and land use to energy, waste and pollution”. A strong international network has been established within China along with other exciting international links to the Centre for Chemicals Management.
