New 2 Year International Masters
Thank you for your interest in our exciting new International Masters programmes. The Lancaster Environment Centre offers two International Masters.
International MSc (Research) in Environmental Science and Technology
The International MSc in International Environmental Science Technology is a new two year Masters programme awarded by Lancaster University and delivered in partnership with relevant Institutes within the prestigious Chinese Academy of Sciences. Students will study at Lancaster University in the UK for the first year of the programme and take a range of taught modules considering fundamental and applied aspects of environmental sciences. At an early stage during this first year, students will also begin to work with LEC-based academics or a UK-based company to develop plans for a collaborative project. This project will start in the UK during the first year of study and continue in China during the second year within the Chinese Academy of Sciences. However, students may also complete their second year in the UK.
This new MSc aims to provide students with significant experience and learning on applied environmental research, its commercial application and experience of directed study and independent research in leading institutions in both the UK and China.
Other exciting partnership opportunities exist to undertake the project abroad, with international collaborators, with business partners etc.

International MSc (Research) in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security
The International MSc (Research) in Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security is a new two year Masters developed to train a new generation of researchers and policy makers in this developing area.
While studying a range of specialised taught modules during the first 6 months of the degree, students will also begin to work with LEC-based academics or a UK-based company to develop plans for a collaborative research project. This project will start in the UK during the first year of study and continue in China during the second year at China Agricultural University during a 12 months overseas research placement. However, students may also complete their second year in the UK or at other partner institutions.
