PhD Studentship Success in LEC
Professor Felix Wackers and Dr Nigel Paul, in the Lancaster Environment Centre have secured two BBSRC Industrial CASE studentships.
Phil Haygarth was also successful in obtaining funding for a NERC Open CASE studentship.
Recently, Dr Ken Wilson, also from the LEC, led a BBSRC Targeted Priority Studentships application in the area of Environmental Change; the Committee has awarded LEC three PhD studentships for take up in the 2009/10 academic year.
These six Studentships complement other exciting PhD opportunities in LEC with the recent advertising of interdisciplinary BBSRC studentships with the School of Health and Medicine.
