My background is microbiology, environmental chemistry, environmental biotechnology. My main research interests are dietary /environment nitrate –microbes-animal /human interactions; microbial nitrogen cycle and its effect in buffering water and soil acidity; microbial ecology of chemical weapon contaminated soil and remediation technologies; electrochemical bioprocess and electrokinetic bioreactor development and its application in bioprocess and waste treatment; biotechnology of bioethanol fermentation using biomass; anti microbial agents (acidified nitrite); anaerobic microbial physiology and anaerobic microbial biocatalysts in biotransformation and anaerobic chemostat culture; plant - microbe interactions (biological control of plant diseases) and fate of persistent organic pollutants in the environment.
