Funding for UK and EU Applicants

LEC is part of the Centre for Global Eco-innovation (CGE) with up to 50 PhDs available.

Masters by Research Funding

There are some LEC scholarships/studentships available for 2012-13, each worth up to £3000 for Masters by Research in Ecology, Environmental Science or Plant Science. These are open to UK and EU students.

Funding Allocation

Allocation of funds for these competitive LEC scholarships is based on academic excellence, for example, high 2:1/1st class Undergraduate degree (or equivalent), merit or distinction at Masters level (or equivalent), awards for academic performance, publication of dissertation, relevant work/voluntary experience. Please note we are unable to make decisions on financial grounds.

Application Process

To be considered for the LEC scholarships/studentships you need 1. to be holding an offer of a place on a LEC Masters by Research and 2. email the LEC PG Office with your name, applicant ID and reason(s) for consideration (max 250 words). We will only consider applicants who apply via this route. Decisions will be based on the information provided with your email and the information supplied on the online application form. We will consider applications during a second round in Summer 2012. Deadline to be holding an offer and submitted your email application for the second round of funding is to be confirmed.
